With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, this past year has brought unparalleled challenges to our community and the families and small businesses that make it great. As your Councilman, I have been leading the way to rise to the challenge, working tirelessly to address your everyday neighborhood issues while ensuring that San Antonio is acting quickly to mitigate the damage and loss created by this virus.
From doubling down on programs to help our neighbors and small businesses weather the storm to advocating in Austin and D.C. for the return of San Antonio’s tax dollars, we are pulling from every lever to provide relief. We are resilient. We will get through this.
Four years ago, you and your neighbors gave me your confidence, and I pledged to serve, steward, and safeguard our community as your city councilman for District 8. I offer you my continued community service and I hope that you accept my invitation to join our team and work to make District 8 the best it can be.
I ask for your support and vote to continue advocating and fighting for you. Together we can ensure that we are getting the state and federal funding we need to recover, that we are building on the quality of life by expanding greenspaces and modernizing our infrastructure, and that we are guiding our recovery and resiliency strategies to bring San Antonio to the other side of this pandemic.
Let’s keep moving forward together.
City Councilman, District 8
Councilman Manny Pelaez with his wife, Diana,
