I just got off the phone with Mr. Pelaez and was very impressed with both him and his answers. He wants to make San Antonio better for everyone. He is quite knowledgeable and approachable if you have any questions as I did-he has earned my vote!

Of the utmost importance to me is promoting Civic Engagement. There hasn’t been enough outreach back to the citizens to involve us in the decision making for our future. I hope for more activism from the citizens as well. What will you do to keep reaching out to us in soliciting feedback on you moving us forward? What are your ideas & thoughts on educating us (your constituents) on how to become more civically engaged? I’m also hoping your focus will be to continue reaching out to us when deciding on how to vote on social issues and not to simply vote based on your personal views. We deserve that. I look forward to your response that with your permission, I’ll post to my Facebook group SA CEL San Antonio Citizens for Ethical Leadership.

Manny, How will you address the real estate “bubble”. Local appraisals are blown out of proportion. No, rates have not been overly increased, just the “market value”. There was a big, big uproar last year. What occured to investigate and correct the appraisals? What will be done this year? It has to happen at the local govt level. It cannot be properly addressed by each individual home owner. Where can I find your response to my questions and the others listed on this site? Please answer, I’d love to spread the word to vote for you with confidence. Thanks. Sandy

As per my conversation with Manny, I’m the parent concerned for the safety of children and youth in regards to illicit drugs. As I mentioned with the struggles with my daughter has now opened doors to being an advocate and spokesperson against any legalization of marijuana. Here’s my story I wrote on www.momsstrong.org

    Thank you for your time.

As Manager for the Crownridge of Texas Assocation, the board members cordially invite to introduce yourself and explain why you wish to serve the District at the Crownridge of Texas annual meeting on March 9, 2017 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held in room 203 at Oak Hills Church. Because of the location, we respectfully request that no political signs be placed on church grounds. Other council candidates will also be in attendance.
